I haven’t embroidered anything for quite a while, but in the past I have done a lot of different projects. My favorite one was a set of Communion clothes I did for my church a number of years ago. I had white linen and embroidered grapes, vines, and wheat on them with white floss. They turned out beautiful.

I have altered a few baby snap suits via iron on transfers and fabric markers. Most of the iron on transfers were of original works of art made by my husband. I do the occasional embroidery on quilts and dolls.

They were all John Deere tractor inspired. They turned out really cute, even though they were my first real attempt at embroidery. Ur book looks like so much fun and I love ur site! Thanks

I have altered 3 onsie snaps by using my cricut to cut out appliques, I then used my machine for a zig-zag stitch. I have also used iron ons to alter a onsie, using clip art.

I just started to hand embroider, I am attempting to make wonderful felt hair clips. I have yet to post them.

I stumbled across your blog with the search of creating patches by scanning and iron-on for a onsie.

This would be super for my 16-year-old daughter who has been creating custom onsies for her bible study leader, teachers and other expectant mothers. My Caitlin got her ideas from blogs and just started raiding our stash of fabrics and floss, teaching herself the blanket stitch from online tutorials. I know this is a “chance” drawing, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed ….

This question isn’t related to the contest, but to the book in general. When you say “one package of dye”, what brand are you talking about? I have a TON of fiber reactive dye from Dharma, but it’s just the dye. I did some snooping on Google and saw some message board where someone mentioned Dylon dye – and it has the soda ash etc.. in the package. Is that true and is this the dye you’re referring to??? I have spent a small fortune on Dharma’s dyes, I’d like to use these, but I don’t have any of the extra stuff required (soda ash, mainly).
