Tips for ear wires!
What You Need
-
The ear wire
-
The earring component (charm, bead dangle, etc.)
-
Flat-nose or chain-nose pliers
How to Attach an Ear Wire
1. Locate the Loop on the Ear Wire
Most ear wires have a small loop at the bottom. This is what connects to your earring piece.
2. Open the Loop Sideways
This part is important:
-
Use pliers to gently twist the loop sideways, like opening a door.

Do NOT pull it apart front-to-back—that weakens the metal and makes it hard to realign.
3. Add Your Earring Component
Slide the top loop of your charm, bead dangle, or earring piece onto the ear-wire loop.

If your piece faces the wrong direction, flip it before closing.

Keep the design facing forward when worn.
4. Close the Loop
Using your pliers:

Twist the loop back into place the same way you opened it—sideways.

Make sure the loop is fully closed so the earring cannot slip out.
