Polymer clay slabs are basically just a large piece of rolled out clay with designs, patterns and textures that are made with clay or clay tools. Once you have created a slab you can use tools or cutters to cut any shape you want. In the video you will see 8 different ways to create a slab and ways to cut your slab to create handmade jewelry designs.

In the video we are teaching tips and tricks for creating a basic “embroidery” style slab. Even if you have never tried to make an embroidery slab you will have excellent results with the few tips and tricks that we are showing you in the video.

For this Memphis design clay slab we are layering many different shapes and colors.

Here are the Memphis design clay slab earrings. The key to this style is to keep layering.
We are also showing a simple technique for creating an easy marbleized slab. I love doing these in school or team colors.
In the video, we are showing you how to use the etch and pearl tool to add texture to the slab.

We are doing a simple tearing technique to create the leopard print that was used in these clay slab earrings. We show you all the tips and tricks in the video.
This horseshoe design is created by using two teardrop cutters. The organic pattern actually started out as a geomantic hexagon pattern.
Here you can see all the different design prior to baking. In the video we are teaching how to poke holes with a ball tool.
Post baking and ready to be turned into jewelry.
